Physio Falmouth Plus is run by Kate Starling, a highly qualified musculoskeletal physiotherapist.

As a keen lover of surfing, kitesurfing, stand-up paddleboarding and running, Kate believes in being able to move and function optimally. It is this ethos which guides her physiotherapy practice. Her aim is to reduce your pain, improve your mobility and ultimately restore your function so that you move and feel better.

Kate has worked as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist within the NHS and private practice across Cornwall.

She holds a First class honours BSc (Hons) physiotherapy degree and has undertaken a wide range of postgraduate courses. This includes courses in medical dry needling, Traditional Chinese acupuncture, sports massage, Pilates, spinal manipulation, osteopathic articulation, specific soft tissue mobilisation, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilisation, taping and connective tissue release.

She is also a fully qualified ITEC sports masseuse, ATCHP acupuncturist, APPI Pilates provider and a Level 5 Nutritionist.

Kate’s extensive training allows her to provide the complete treatment and care your body requires.

Pain relief and medication is often prescribed yet does little to undo the true nature or cause of any pain. At Physio Falmouth Plus, we have a clear and research based approach. We strongly believe in getting to the heart of your problem and aim to provide the best and most effective treatment for you.

In doing so, we seek to not only reduce your symptoms but aim to prevent any problems from recurring again in the future.

Kate is registered with both the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health Care Professions Council. Both bodies require ongoing continuous professional development and evidence based research. This is to ensure that all diagnosis and treatment is current and effective.

Prior to obtaining her physiotherapy degree, Kate gained a  LLB (Hons) Law degree and PgDip in Broadcast Journalism. She therefore combines her literary and clinical experience and is a regular contributor of health and research based articles to SUP International Magazine.
